huomenta hyvää, creative christmas calendarin 6. luukku aukeaa nyt ja toivottaa teille hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää!! =)

good morning, it's time for the 6th shutter to open at creative christmas calendar...it is made in the spirit of finland's independence day that we celebrate today... =)

tein kynttilänjalat pienistä lasipulloista andy skinnerin evil elixir mixer kurssin oppien mukaan. kaulat on katkaistu ja sitten alettu työstää pintaa. koska on itsenäisyyspäivä, tarvitsivathan jalat myös itsevärjätyt itsenäisyyspäivän kynttilät. ja niiden teosta lisää alempana...

i made candle holders of two little glass bottles broken at the neck and made over with the teachings from andy skinner's evil elixir mixer online course. and as it is independence day here in finland we have a tradition that we do today...at six o'clock in the evening we light two blue and white candles, i dyed mine myself this year.

kynttilät on värjätty alkoholimusteilla...ja tässä nopsakat simppelit ohjeet siihen...

the candles were dyed with alcohol inks...and here are the few simple steps how...

1. tiputtele muutama tippa alkoholimusteita (esim. kahta eri väriä) craft sheetille ja rullaa valkoinen kynttilä tipoissa.

drop a few drops of alcohol inks on your craft sheet (e.g. two different shades) and roll your white candle over the drops.

2. käännä kynttilä pystyyn ja valuta metalliväriä ylhäältä alas. valuta metallivärin päältä alkoholimusteiden blenderiä.

then hold the candle upright and let metallic alcohol ink to run down. then run blending solution over the metallic runs.

3. anna kuivua vähintään 24h (tai kunnes kuiva) ennen kuin poltat kynttilää.

let dry at least 24 hours (or until dry) before burning the candle.

voit myös pelkästään valutella väriä ylhäältä alas tai vaikka käyttää huopaa ja musteenlevitintä värjäämiseen, muistathan kuitenkin että vähintään 24 h kynttilöiden pitää kuivahtaa. varoitus...touhuun jää koukkuun.... ;)

you can also just let inks run from top to bottom or maybe try using felt and the ink blending tool to dye them, just remember to leave them dry for at least 24 hours. warning...you might get hooked on this... ;)

toivottavasti jotain jäi käteen ja inspiroiduit...innolla oottelemaan luukkua nro 7... =)
